Terms of Service

Effective date: July 8, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GreenOps website, CLI scanner, and platform services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Overview

GreenOps provides cloud optimization and sustainability software that helps organizations identify idle infrastructure, reduce cloud costs, and estimate carbon emissions. The Services include a web application, a command-line scanner, APIs, and related documentation.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

  • Use the Services to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Upload or transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Use the Services to send unsolicited communications or spam.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.

4. Cloud Integrations and Customer Data

When you connect a cloud account, you authorize GreenOps to read metadata and usage metrics using read-only APIs. You are responsible for:

  • Creating and configuring the necessary cross-account IAM roles in your AWS accounts.
  • Ensuring that the roles grant only the permissions required for the Services.
  • Maintaining the security of your cloud accounts and credentials.

GreenOps does not write to your cloud resources or collect source code, application data, payment data, or long-lived credentials. The CLI scanner runs locally by default and does not transmit your cloud data to GreenOps unless you explicitly connect the account to the GreenOps platform.

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

Some features of the Services require a paid subscription. Fees are charged through our billing provider, Creem. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and keeping it up to date. We may suspend or terminate your access to paid features if payment fails.

Refund policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions and one-time purchases. If you are not satisfied with the Services, contact us at privacy@greenops.cloud within 14 days of your payment date to request a full refund. Approved refunds are processed within 14 days using the original payment method.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.

6. Intellectual Property

The Services and their content, features, and functionality are owned by GreenOps and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Services without our prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely accurate. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GreenOps and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
